Planar Quantum Random Walks

     I will talk about a certain partition functions (sums over
trajectories) which can be interpreted as quantum random walks on the
plane. Its study involves heavily the machinery of multivariate
generating functions, explaining beautiful interference
patterns exhibited by the simulations.
