MARCH & APRIL, 2005: These two months had way more than their fair share of excitement! We traveled to Texas, flying first to El Paso so that we could see Uncle Tony, Aunt Suzie and our cousin Adison. Tony was stationed in Korea since shortly after Adison was born and now that they're back in the States, we wanted to see them right away! And since we were already in Texas, it was only a hop, skip and a (big) jump over to Austin to visit Chris & Tenille. They (and their kitties) showed us a terrific time and we were very sad to have to go. But then it was up to Boston for Otherworld's annual Fortunetide Ball, where we got to spend time with all our friends, including... Chris & Tenille! Long time no see, guys! And since Nana & Blabla were there for Fortunetide, too, it was the perfect opportunity to finally take them to the Chocolate Bar, Cafe Fleuri's all-chocolate buffet. There was no charge for Mirin at the buffet, a financial decision the people at Cafe Fleuri are probably still regretting. Besides welcoming Adison back to the US, there was more fun with cousins to be had: we traveled to Lancaster for Cheryl's baby shower, we staged a return visit to the Hayes farm so that Mark, Bernadette and Matty could meet the animals, and we hosted the O'Malleys and our de-facto cousin Breila for a weekend. This last one took us to KidCity, a children's museum in Middletown. Fun fun and more fun! On St. Patrick's Day we gained another new little buddy: John Patrick, aka Baby Jack. Lucky us! |
