Things to do this fall:
Help Dave & Ab get married - check! Frolic at our annual Cape Cod trip - check! Throw yet another fabulous Otherworld Adventure Weekend - check! Pick apples, go on a hayride and trick-or-treat - check check and check!

All that, plus we took a great vacation to Virginia Beach! If you can manage to go off-season, we totally recommend Station One Hotel, where we stayed. It's right on the beach, every room is a suite, and if none of you have classes you need to be at (or if you're on sabbatical this semester like Daddy is), it's pretty affordable. Check it out!

I just want to watch my sister!	She never fails to make me smile!	Mr. & Mrs. Dave & Ab about fifteen minutes after the conclusion of their ceremony. Congrats, guys!	Hannah, Breila and I. We're going to be very disappointed when we learn that not all receptions have wading pools.
Time for a little rest before rejoining the festivities.	The groom takes time to pay us a special visit.	Woo-hoo! A special Dave-dip!	I show Mama a game with the ball.
Okay, Mama, enough pictures! I'm getting chilly!	All the wedding cakes were different flavors of ice cream with different colors on top. This one was our favorite.	I'm very selective. I will only nap on Aunt Freda!	Oh, okay. And Aunt Ann. Both primo baby-holders!
Why have I been woken up from my nap? Oh, to open a few belated birthday presents? Well, all right then.	I help out by reading Rowan's new book to him.	I'm warm! I'm wet! I'm naked! This is my favorite part of the day!	Getting clean is just a fringe benefit.
Oh, well, thank you. I think you're really cute, too!	We're flying to Virginia Beach to meet up with Nana and Blabla! This is my first plane trip were I'm old enough to know what's going on!	And this is my first plane trip at all!	We're ready to go! What's the holdup, people?
It's time! Let's get on the plane!	This is my first flight with my very own seat! That's okay with me!	Plenty of leg room! Thumbs up!	We're prepared for takeoff!
I take a minute to peruse the in-flight magazine.	Whee! I'm flying! (Okay, it's a little hard to tell from this picture, but trust me, I am!)	We made it! I check out the beds at the hotel and they meet my rigorous standards.	All that flying wore me out! God forbid I should have slept on the plane!
Here's our hotel, Station One. As promised, it's right on the beach! (You gotta love off-season rates!)	Our first day is cloudy, but that doesn't stop us. Off-season or no, it's still pretty nice beach weather!	My bouncy seat accompanies us to the beach, and after Mama McGyver rigs it with some safety pins and dental floss, the sun hood even stays up!	The world is my sandbox!
Take my bucket... please!	Get out the baby books! It's time for Baby's First Mini-Golf!	Nana explains the fundamentals to me. It seems pretty straightforward!	Daddy says that in golf parlance, I am what is known as a "handicap".
Did I mention that this is not just mini-golf, it's Jungle Mini-Golf?	Technically, a rhino really lives in a savannah, not a jungle, but... oh, sorry.	I love you anyway, Rhino!	A hibiscus tree, and it's yellow, my favorite!
Ooh! It smells so nice!	But don't be fooled. The taste is icky.	We intrepidly cross this raging jungle river.	If this photo were a video, it would show you my first ever hole-in-one! As it is, you'll just have to take my word for it.
I show Nana how I can make jungle sounds. She is duly impressed.	My friends Ab and Owen have spoken highly of this place, so I decide to check it out.	I made it to the summit! Frankly, I don't see what the fuss was all about. I thought it was pretty easy!	Welcome to the shrine of Our Lady of the 16th Hole.
Who doesn't love a hippo?	All of us give Jungle Mini-Golf the Hayessellati stamp of approval! (But be advised, some of the animals are really from the savannah.)	The view from our hotel-room balcony. Whether the skies are sunny...	...or cloudy...
...I am a happy camper regardless!	Mama gets artsy with an overcast view.	Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip...	After days of watching them go by, we decide to rent one of these contraptions.
We'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for... six?	We're stopped in the picture, which isn't surprising because Mama was doing most of the pedalling work.	Thumbs up from the front seat! Now put the camera down and drive, please!	Buoyed by our success in the jungle, we move on to Pirate Mini-Golf!
I have found my sport! Note that I am doing that silly little foot-tippy thing that the pros do.	Daddy gives me a bird's-eye-view of the putting experience.	Getting my ball -- and everybody else's -- out of the little hole is my favorite part!	...In fact, sometimes I don't even wait for the ball to go into the hole. It's more of a challenge to grab it while it's still moving, but hey, this is a challenging sport!
Arrrr! Pirate baby!	We pause for the obligatory Family Portrait with Golfballs and Lighthouse.	We were very pleased with the authenticity of the Pirate Mini-Golf experience!	I was already half asleep when we got to the fondue restaurant, but I rallied in time for the dessert course!
Don't think you're getting this fork back, Daddy.	Hello, and welcome to the Virginia Marine Science Museum. I'm your host, a starfish. No, just kidding: It's me, Mirin!	Oh no! Mom and Baby Eaten in Freak Shark Attack!	No, no, please don't panic. We're all right.
Don't they know by now that ALL LITTLE KIDS ARE AFRAID OF CLOWNS? Sheesh. However, I did get a wicked cool dolphin painted on my hand.	Watching the otters playing...	...instead of picking my nose, like some people. You can see my dolphin in this picture.	I was feeling kind of cranky when this picture was taken, but it does show my nifty seahorse and octopus tattoos, also from the Science Museum.
Hmmm, there's time to kill between hotel checkout and our airplane flight. Hey, there's a carosel at the mall!	Hanging out -- literally -- in the Bumper Jumper we borrowed from the San Clementes.	Hee hee! I'm jumpin' and bumpin'!	And speaking of the San Clementes, it's time for our annual beachhouse trip. Here, Tasi relaxes with Hannah.
It's my first visit, but I make myself right at home!	Hey, Breila, whattya want to play now?	Oh, tickling? I like that game!	Katherine's going to have a baby! I let her practice on me. Hey, she's good!
Ladies and gentlemen, the always-adorable Hannah San Clemente!	Among our common interests, Breila and I both like doing yoga. We are two Upward Dogs!	I'm a Downward Dog!	Won't Breila love this picture when she's fourteen? You're welcome, Breila.
Cluing Jeff in on some of the finer points of impending dad-dom.	Sun... Motion... Zzzz...	Mama had the bright idea that we should take a sibling photo here on the beach. If there's one thing babies love, it's staring into the sun while sitting in cold wet gritty stuff!	If we're going to do this, we're going to need a stronger toddler or a lighter baby.
This is just so interesting!	Just me... and my shaaaa-dow.	Making a break for it!	Despite my continued inability to grab the waves, I love this!
I got some serious thinkin' to do here!	Why, hello!	Got it! These arms are starting to prove rather useful!	Time for Otherworld! Juggy kindly Bjorns me around so I can keep an eye on everything.
Daddy and I dig into some french toast. Setting up the camp takes lots of energy! I'd better have seconds.	In my sleeping-bag nest, behind the bar.	This picture really shows that my hair has thinned out a bunch since I was born. Of course, it's at least still brown, whereas Daddy seems to have gone grey overnight!	When Nana and Blabla bring me back to the camp, I model my new ladybug barrettes and check out this cool bell Daddy is wearing.
A little kiss for my good pal Argo.	Daddy had a business trip to California, so Ab came down to help Mama out. I was very well-behaved the whole time, of course.	I love to snuggle Ab!	"To everything there is a season." The Exersaucer is officially handed down!
Balancing on Mama's shins.	No one suspects my diabolical plan! Bwah ha ha!	A new generation enjoys the Spitapult.	Time for the annual Cheshire Newcomers' Club hayride and apple picking day!
The jiggling of the hayride could easily soothe a little guy right to zzzzzzzzzzzz.	Just like the farmer showed us: twist, don't pull!	Nametags on the back stay on much better than ones stuck in front!	My work here is done.
Got donut?	All right, let's see what kind of pickup this thing has got.	I like this one! Mama says if I can carry it, I can buy it.	Actually, I think this little one has a better shape to it.
Mama had a few things still to do at the camp, so back we went! The lake sure looks pretty.	The view looking across at the lakeside cabin.	On one of the little bridges.	Wow! It is all water under the bridge!
Spoons up! Nana takes our drumming practices very seriously!	I improvise a drum solo.	Snuggle time with Nana and Blabla!	I relish any opportunity to sing the "Hurry Hurry Drive The Firetruck" song.
Don't worry, Nana. I'm a pro at this!	Pony ride time! I am a little disconcerted to see how high up I am.	Okay, that's fast enough.	Reading with Mama.
I'm the smiliest little man!	Who, me?	Gadzooks! I'm sitting up!	Yep, I'm a real B.M.O.C. -- Big Man On Couch, that is!
What're you lookin' at?!?	That guy thinks he's pretty great. But he doesn't hold a candle to Daddy!	A victory of multitasking in the face of distraction.	Trying out my new bubble wand.
Time to get our Halloween costumes together. I need to paint this hat bright yellow. Can you guess who I'm going to be?	Sometimes, when you're feeling fussy, a little bit of storytime cheers you right up!	Lunchdate! Laura joins us for tasty grilled cheese.	Halloween night! I'm Madeline! Did you guess?
I rule the roost around here! And for Halloween, I dressed up like a king.	We're going trick-or-treating with Will and Matty Laubach! Yippee!	"To the tiger at the zoo, Madeline just said 'Pooh-pooh.'" And to Will the lion, I said "Yippee! Let's go!"	We have our costumes! We have our loot bags! Hmm, where's Mattie? Time to go!
